Real Jaén defeated Linares Deportivo in a friendly pre-season match, painting the derby white. Manolo Herrero's team displayed a superior physical rhythm and secured the win with goals scored by Moha Keita early in the game and Adri Fernández in the second half.
Real Jaén's starting lineup featured Salvi Carrasco in goal, David Serrano, Mauro Cabello, Javi Moyano, and Moha in defense; José Álvarez, Caballero, and Fran Gallego in midfield; Abel Sánchez and Moha Keita on the wings; and Siverio as the striker. Mario Martos and Corozo were unavailable.
Miguel de la Fuente's Linares Deportivo lined up with Diego Barrios in goal, Iker Pérez, Monty, Becken, and Moy in defense; Canito, Menudo, and Iván Romero in midfield, with Iker Navarro, Gascón, and Tommy Montenegro in attack.
Real Jaén took the lead in the sixth minute with a powerful shot from Moha Keita, who dribbled past his defender to score a spectacular goal into the top corner. This was the Senegalese player's second goal in his second pre-season test.
Despite Linares Deportivo's attempts to react, primarily down the left flank with Gascón and the runs of Iker Pérez, Real Jaén continued to create chances. A play by Moha Keita was disallowed for a questionable offside, and Caballero came close to extending the lead.
In the second half, Real Jaén increased their advantage. In the 50th minute, Adri Fernández beat goalkeeper Álex Fernández after an assist from Diego Fuentes, making the score 0-2.
The second goal seemed to affect Linares Deportivo, although Diego Morcillo was close to scoring a third for the visitors. The home team's best chance came from a header by Llabrés that went over the crossbar.
The match concluded with Real Jaén's first victory of this pre-season and the first defeat for Linares Deportivo, who showed signs of having a lighter training load.
