The event, held in Linares, brought together prominent party figures, including Antonio Repullo, Secretary General of the Popular Party of Andalusia; Erik Domínguez, provincial president; Catalina García, Minister of Sustainability and Environment; and María José Carmona, president of New Generations of Andalusia, among other regional and provincial officials.
During his speech, Antonio Repullo emphasized that this congress is more than just an internal renewal, presenting it as an opportunity to address citizens' concerns. He highlighted that, just as the Andalusian PP focuses on the well-being of all Andalusians, Auxi del Olmo will prioritize the people of Linares in her governance, advocating for a practical, results-oriented approach. Repullo also praised the transformation of Linares under the Popular Party's administration, describing it as a city that has moved from a state of stagnation to leading in opportunities, generating employment and attracting new businesses.
For her part, Catalina García, the number one candidate for the Popular Party to the Parliament of Andalusia for Jaén, underscored the commitment of Juanma Moreno's Government to Linares, particularly regarding investments aimed at revitalizing the Santana Business Park. She congratulated Auxi del Olmo for her management at the head of the City Council and called for a proactive campaign committed to citizens.
“"With a PP government, Linares and the province are doing well."
Erik Domínguez, provincial president, thanked the outgoing president, Mariola Aranda, whom he described as an “honest and generous” person, and praised Auxi del Olmo's courage in taking on leadership in this new phase. Mariola Aranda, in turn, expressed gratitude to her team and acknowledged Auxi del Olmo's dedication and the collaborative work carried out for the benefit of the party and the people of Linares.
Auxi del Olmo thanked the trust placed in her candidacy and outlined the main tenets of her political project, focused on defending the interests of Linares' citizens. She affirmed that her priority is the city and its residents, and that she will continue to work on the project that brought the party to government, keeping the people of Linares at the center of all policies.
“"For us, Linares and our neighbors come first. We will continue working on the city project with which we reached the Government, placing the people of Linares at the center of all our policies."
The new president also introduced her executive team, which includes Enrique Mendoza as Secretary General, Susana Ferrer as General Coordinator, and Raúl Caro-Accino as local spokesperson, within an Executive Committee composed of 22 members. Del Olmo emphasized that her project is inclusive and seeks to continue attracting talent so that Linares remains a benchmark as an open, accessible city with a future, aiming to attract business projects and population.
