The event, which drew a large audience, featured Charles Bashore, co-director of the excavation at El Fontanar. Bashore detailed the ongoing second campaign at this archaeological site, which is yielding new data on the area's prehistoric past.
Following this, the book ‘Recent Prehistory and Early Iron Age in Jódar’, authored by researcher Miguel Yanes, was presented. The book's prologue was written by Francisco Contreras, professor and head of the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology at the University of Granada, who also introduced the author.
Miguel Yanes provided an overview of the book's contents, covering the period from the dawn of agriculture and livestock farming in the region to the end of the Prehistory and the beginning of the Iron Age in Jódar.
