The Plenary Hall of the Provincial Council of Córdoba hosted the European Meeting of Cities of Ceramics, an event taking place within the framework of EnBarro, with the participation of representatives from ceramic cities in Italy, France, Portugal, and the Czech Republic.
Marta Siles, delegate for Presidency, Interior Government, and Housing of the provincial institution, welcomed attendees, highlighting that this meeting underscores the importance of La Rambla for the pottery and ceramics sector by being chosen as the permanent seat of the European Association of Cities of Ceramics.
Siles announced that the Provincial Council will be the first provincial institution to join this Association, reaffirming support for the ceramics sector, considered essential for La Rambla and the entire province. She emphasized that this is a new opportunity for a sector that has demonstrated its competitiveness and capacity for growth through modernization and internationalization.
It was announced that the winners of the 96th edition of EnBarro will exhibit their works in the itinerant exhibition route of the provincial institution's Botí Foundation, bringing exceptional quality works closer to the public. Siles stressed that both initiatives aim to support La Rambla and its ceramics so that it can continue to progress and cross borders.
For his part, the mayor of La Rambla, Jorge Jiménez, thanked the provincial institution for its continuous support. He explained that La Rambla was chosen as the seat because it is the largest ceramic manufacturing center in Europe, with 66 production centers.
Jiménez invited citizens to participate in EnBarro, a fair celebrating its 100th anniversary and featuring a wide program of activities.
