Emergency services, including firefighters from the Cazorla Consortium, Local Police, and Civil Guard officers from the Cazorla Post, participated in the operation. The alert was received around 1:00 PM, and a Civil Guard patrol located the hiker on a difficult-to-access slope, near the Monastery of Montesión.
Officers confirmed that the woman had a possible leg fracture, preventing her from moving on her own. The rescue team proceeded to evacuate the injured woman on a stretcher to a safe point for medical attention by health services.
Subsequently, the hiker was transported by ambulance to the High Resolution Hospital of Cazorla for specialized medical care. The Civil Guard took the opportunity to remind the public about the importance of exercising extreme caution when hiking, especially in difficult terrain and high temperatures, recommending proper planning and carrying water, a charged mobile phone, and adequate equipment.
