The town of Cazorla in Jaén is preparing to host the emblematic Noche de la Tragantía on Saturday, June 20, 2026. As the sun sets, the historic center will transform into a large open-air stage, immersing attendees in an atmosphere of mystery and magic.
The artistic proposal aims to revive the famous local legend of the serpent woman through an immersive experience combining street theater, dance, and music. The cobblestone streets and monumental corners of Cazorla will serve as the backdrop for this sensory journey.
The evening will feature performances by prestigious companies such as Yera Teatro, Inestable Teatro, and Iris Electricello, who will bring the myth to life by merging it with the city's rich heritage.
The City Council is promoting this cultural event not only as a tourist landmark for the province of Jaén but also as an economic driver for the region, expecting to attract numerous visitors.
