The municipality of Prado del Rey will experience one of its most anticipated festivals, the Velada, from July 14th to 19th. The City Council has released the detailed program for this celebration, which will include a varied cultural and leisure offering for all audiences.
The Caseta Municipal (Municipal Booth) will host various musical performances. On Wednesday the 15th, the Orquesta Elegidos will perform, on Thursday the 16th it will be the turn of La Banda del Pelícano, and on Friday the 17th, Cuéntame (with members from Orquesta Zahara and Unión 75) and Los Mikis will take the stage. On Saturday the 18th, the music continues with Rumba Canalla.
The bullfighting program includes a Grand Mixed Bullfighting Festival on Friday the 17th at 7:30 PM, and the traditional release of bulls on Saturday the 18th at the same time, preceded by the Local Charanga (brass band) from 6:30 PM.
Additionally, the Velada will feature the lighting of the extraordinary illumination, the Children's Day, a Children's Velada with water attractions at the municipal pool on Wednesday the 15th, the Solemn Eucharist and Procession of Our Lady of Carmen on Thursday the 16th, and concerts by the Band of Music Ntra. Sra. del Carmen daily. The Youth Zone will offer DJ sets on Friday and Saturday nights.
The detailed program for each day includes: on Tuesday the 14th, Children's Day and a tribute to the elders; on Wednesday the 15th, Children's Velada and musical performances; on Thursday the 16th, Eucharist, Procession, and concerts; on Friday the 17th, bullfighting festival, special performances, and Youth Zone with DJ Manu Girón; on Saturday the 18th, release of bulls, Youth Zone with DJ Paco Moreno, and special performance; and on Sunday the 19th, Pradense Dawn (Diana Pradense) by the local charanga 'The Prado's Band'.
