The new green area, strategically located next to the wall and at the foot of the Olvera Castle, is presented as a key site for the commemoration taking place in 2027. The project seeks to transform a transit area into a place for reflection and coexistence, integrating heritage into the daily lives of residents.
During the opening ceremony, a commemorative mural created by a local ceramic artist was unveiled, reproducing a historical scene linked to the capture of the town by Alfonso XI. The artistic intervention underscores the municipality's commitment to preserving its cultural legacy.

The initiative, coordinated by the Department of Culture, is supported by entities such as the Cajasol Foundation. The ultimate goal is to use the 2027 anniversary as an opportunity for sustainable development and the promotion of Olvera's heritage, avoiding divisive views and betting on a growth model based on local identity.
