Seville's Rocío brotherhoods are starting their return to the capital after the pilgrimage, with planned itineraries and schedules for Thursday, May 28th, which will affect traffic.

The 2026 Rocío Pilgrimage is entering its final stages with the beginning of the return journey for Seville's brotherhoods. Following the procession of the Virgen del Rocío on Whit Monday and the central pilgrimage events, the affiliated corporations are now heading back towards Seville, where thousands of people await their arrival.
Thursday, May 28th, will be the day with the highest number of Rocío brotherhoods in the city. Several corporations are expected to pass through different parts of Seville throughout the afternoon and evening, leading to significant traffic disruptions.
Among the brotherhoods entering the city are the one from Cerro del Águila, scheduled to arrive at 6:00 PM via the Puente de las Delicias, and the one from La Macarena, which will enter at 6:30 PM via the Puente Cristo de la Expiración after visiting the Basilica del Cachorro. The Rocío Brotherhood of Triana will arrive at 8:00 PM via Avenida Expo 92, while the Rocío Brotherhood of Seville will enter at 7:00 PM via Avenida de Blas Infante. Finally, the Rocío Brotherhood of Sevilla Sur will return at 6:30 PM via the Puente de las Delicias.
The detailed schedules for each brotherhood include multiple stops and routes through emblematic city streets, culminating in their entry into their respective canonical headquarters late at night. For instance, the Cerro del Águila Brotherhood is expected to enter the Parish of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores at 11:30 PM.
The brotherhoods warn that schedules may vary due to the progress of the pilgrimage, the pace of the processions, or the weather conditions. Maximum temperatures of 37ºC are expected in Seville on Thursday. The simultaneous arrival of numerous brotherhoods will cause traffic disruptions, particularly in areas like Los Remedios, Triana, the historic center, and the southern part of the city, so advance travel planning is recommended.
