Seville Hosts Key Debate on Vaccination and Public Health

National experts will gather in the Andalusian capital to address current and future immunization challenges.

The city of Seville will be the focal point of a significant meeting next Thursday, April 9, where prominent specialists will discuss the challenges and strategies of vaccination and public health in Spain.

The event, organized by Grupo Joly under the title 'Protecting the Future: Vaccination and Health', will bring together some of the country's leading experts in immunization and public health. The initiative is supported by pharmaceutical companies such as Hipra, CSL Seqirus, GSK, Takeda, Moderna, and Sanofi.
The opening of the conference will feature Antonio Sanz, Minister of Health, Presidency and Emergencies of the Junta de Andalucía, who will share his regional perspective on the topic.
The program will be structured around two roundtables. The first, 'Strategies and challenges for achieving a common goal: population protection', will gather representatives from various autonomous communities. Participants will include Mara Garcés, Deputy Director General of Prevention and Health Promotion of the Valencian Community; Jaime Pérez, President of the Spanish Association of Vaccinology (AEV); Marta Piñeiro, Director of the Galician Center for Disease Control and Prevention; and Marta Molina, Deputy Director General of Prevention and Health Promotion of the Community of Madrid. The session will be moderated by David Moreno, Director of the Strategic Vaccination Plan in Andalusia.
The second roundtable, 'Main actors in immunization, the key to transforming public health', will focus on the crucial role of frontline healthcare professionals. Speakers will include Montserrat Martínez, Head of Preventive Medicine Service at the Secretaria de Salut Pública de Cataluña; Eva María Alman, Vice President of ASANEC; Alejandro García, Director of Primary Care Nursing at the Extremadura Health Service; and Alejandro Cremades, Head of Coordination and Health Promotion Section of the Generalitat Valenciana. Víctor Bohórquez, President of the Illustrious Official College of Nursing of Seville, will moderate the debate.
