Bales of hashish seized in a police operation.

The National Police have carried out operation 'Rabbit' in Isla Mayor, Sevilla, resulting in the seizure of almost a ton of hashish and the arrest of two individuals for drug trafficking.

Agents of the National Police have concluded operation 'Rabbit' with the arrest of two individuals in the Sevillian municipality of Isla Mayor. The arrests followed the seizure of approximately one ton of hashish, and those involved face charges for an alleged crime against public health, specifically drug trafficking.
The investigation began late last year when authorities received information about the possible use of two garages in Isla Mayor as drug storage facilities and logistical hubs for vehicles used in their transport. After thorough investigative work, suspicions were confirmed, and the exact locations of the properties were identified.
Once the necessary evidence was gathered, agents proceeded to enter and search the garages. Inside, they discovered a considerable quantity of narcotics, specifically close to one ton of hashish, which was distributed in bales, thus facilitating its subsequent transport and distribution.
In addition to the drugs, during the operation, the National Police recovered four stolen all-terrain vehicles. It is presumed that these vehicles were used by the organization for the transfer of illicit substances.
The two detainees, considered alleged leaders of the drug trafficking network, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority once police proceedings were concluded. This action underscores the commitment of the National Police in the fight against drug trafficking in the province of Sevilla, paying special attention to areas that serve as strategic points for the storage and distribution of drugs.
