The intervention, carried out by EMASESA, is essential due to the advanced state of deterioration of the current infrastructure, which has caused numerous breakages and recurring incidents for residents and businesses in the area. The primary goal is to optimize service quality and alleviate the inconveniences faced by the community.
The works will focus on the section between Jaén and Méndez Núñez streets. They will include the complete replacement of sanitation and supply pipes, as well as the renovation of connections, manholes, and storm drains. Additionally, a full restoration of the pavement and sidewalks is planned, along with the planting of new trees to enhance the urban environment.
During the construction period, pedestrian traffic may be temporarily affected. To ensure safety and smooth movement, alternative routes will be established, and fences, walkways, and appropriate signage will be installed.
This action complements other ongoing projects in the nearby Albareda and Jaén streets, where networks are also being renewed and a new street-washing network is being implemented. These combined improvements aim to increase water pressure and flow, as well as strengthen the capacity for collecting and evacuating rainwater throughout the area.
