The new owners of La Cartuja Pickman, led by Javier Targhetta, have assembled a strategic leadership team to propel the company forward. Sevillian engineer Carmen Granja, with a distinguished career at Flex, will take over as director of the factory. She will be supported by engineer Sebastián Fernández Vallejo for production startup and economist Isabel Lara to energize the commercial area.
Targhetta and Mar Madrid, partners in the company, announced the management team's composition and reopened the factory doors, anticipating that pottery pieces will once again emerge from the kilns by late April. The ownership structure of the new company is divided with 40% for each of the sisters Gabriela and Paola Luksic, and 20% for Mar Madrid and Javier Targhetta through a holding company. Targhetta, current president of Atlantic Copper, chairs the firm.
“"Carmen Granja brings two decades of experience in a century-old Spanish firm, expanding and with a solid international position thanks to excellence and innovation in all its areas."
Carmen Granja, who previously served as head of engineering, environment, and quality at Flex, brings over twenty years of industrial experience. Her career includes roles as factory director and head of occupational risk prevention at Flex, as well as experience at Airbus, FAC Seguridad, and Design Engineer. She holds an MBA from the European Business School of Barcelona and an Advanced Management program from Esade.
For his part, Sebastián Fernández Vallejo, an engineer from the University of Navarra, brings extensive experience in precast concrete, having been factory manager at Molins Precast Solutions in Dos Hermanas (Seville) and plant director at Delta in Puente Genil (Córdoba), among others. His incorporation is key for production reactivation and the development of the future plant in Seville.
Isabel Lara García, with a degree in Business Sciences and Marketing and an MBA from San Telmo Business School, will be tasked with establishing a robust commercial network for La Cartuja Pickman throughout Spain. Lara is the founder and creative director of the shoe brand Ysbel and has managed shopping centers such as Sevilla Factory and Airesur in Castilleja de la Cuesta (Seville).
