The Provincial Council of Jaén is present at the international seminar Gems of Brocolink, held in Sabac, Serbia. This event focuses on innovation, non-formal education, and youth policies. The main objective of this participation is to share the initiatives the provincial administration is developing for young people, funded through European funds, and to establish new international collaborations to drive future projects benefiting the province.
This forum brings together organizations and institutions from various countries that are members of the European Brocolink network, aimed at strengthening cooperation through the exchange of tools, methodologies, and experiences in non-formal education, with a special focus on gamification and inclusion. During the meeting, initiatives for programs such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps are being designed.
The Deputy for Equality and Youth, María Dolores Ruiz, highlighted the importance of these spaces for the Council, as they allow them to capture opportunities, incorporate innovative methodologies, and bring more European resources to municipalities, especially those with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants. She emphasized the commitment of the province of Jaén to maintain an active role in Europe and translate this presence into opportunities and a prosperous future for its youth.
The Gems of Brocolink meeting is structured around three strategic lines: collecting best practices, tools, methods, experiences, and innovations from each organization; addressing gamified non-formal education tools; and registering the competencies, human resources, programs, strategic priorities, and alliances of each organization for planning future projects. The Project Pipeline 2026-2028, a roadmap for future proposals in European programs like Erasmus+, has been defined at this forum.
