The author, following the success of her previous work, Sevilla, azahar y verso, which paid tribute to the Sevillian capital, now ventures into the world of children's poetry with Versos para Lucy. This new collection comprises 15 compositions that harmoniously dialogue with the illustrations by a Sevillian artist, who has also designed the covers for all the author's published books to date.
“"These poems were born from the memory of those freshly opened books I loved to smell when the school year began, from the curiosity to learn the letters that lead to the magic of words. These pages bring forth images of my childhood, the animals I learned to love, and my father's teachings, who spoke to me of birds and nature."
The work is also an emotional homage to her dog, a loyal companion of 15 years, whom she tenderly describes in her verses. The presentation in Seville will take place on April 28 at 7:00 PM in the Children's Room of the Infanta Elena Library.
The event will feature the participation of a journalist and a violinist, in an evening that will combine music and poetry, and will include surprises for children attending with their parents. Additionally, the writer has announced the call for the IV National Poetry Contest “Huellas de cobre”, thus consolidating her commitment to promoting literary creation.
