Other Aemet stations in Andalusia also marked values above 44 degrees, including Fuentes de Andalucía, Morón de La Frontera, and Seville Airport. Carmona and La Rambla were close to these figures.
Del Pino highlighted that this 45.1-degree reading makes last Thursday one of the hottest days of the year, tied with other locations. However, the historical maximum in Andalusia remains the one recorded in La Rambla (Córdoba) on August 14th, 2021, with 47.6 degrees.
Aemet also reported a preliminary figure of 45.7 degrees in El Granado (Huelva), pending official verification. The historical record for the month of September in Andalusia dates back to September 5th, 2016, with 46.5 degrees in Marchena.
Regarding the heatwave's evolution, Del Pino indicated that it is unlikely these figures will be surpassed, as September is progressing and temperatures tend to decrease.
