The CEU Fernando III University held its eighth annual Awards ceremony at the Hotel Alfonso XIII in Sevilla, honoring personalities and institutions for their service to society.

The CEU Fernando III University celebrated its 8th annual CEU Fernando III Awards ceremony on Monday at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, an event that gathered authorities and personalities to honor exemplary careers dedicated to the common good.
These awards annually distinguish individuals and institutions recognized for their contribution to social progress and for embodying values such as effort, excellence, and commitment. Rector José Alberto Parejo Gámir highlighted the perseverance and dedication to just causes shown by the awardees, as well as the university's commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza y Gómez de Valugera, President of CEU and Grand Chancellor of the University, emphasized that these awards celebrate the values that guide the institution's educational mission and societal presence, identifying the recipients as true role models for society and young people.
José Antonio Nieto Ballesteros, Minister of Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function of the Regional Government of Andalusia, praised the awardees' contributions to Andalusia's social and economic development and CEU's work in the region, promoting education and educational choice.

Francisco Herrero León, President of Grupo Lamaignere and the Chamber of Commerce of Sevilla, received the CEU Fernando III Special Award for his distinguished business career and contribution to the economic development of Sevilla and Andalusia, particularly for promoting the internationalization of Andalusian companies.
The Real Club Pineda de Sevilla was honored with the CEU Fernando III Award for Sporting Excellence for its long-standing dedication to promoting sports and organizing top-tier events that position Sevilla as a national sports hub. Its president, Rodrigo Molina Montes, accepted the award, stressing sports as a school of life that teaches essential values like effort, respect, perseverance, and camaraderie.
Santiago Martínez-Vares García, former magistrate of the Constitutional Court, received the CEU Fernando III Award for Legal Sciences in recognition of his extensive career in service to Justice and his significant academic and legal contributions.
Caja Rural del Sur was presented with the CEU Fernando III Award for Innovative Enterprise, acknowledging its sustained growth, commitment to rural development, and focus on innovation, sustainability, and financial inclusion. Its president, José Luis García-Palacios Álvarez, thanked the recognition, emphasizing the importance of blending tradition with modernity.

Posthumously, Manuel Fernández de la Peña, founder of the Provida Association of Mairena del Alcor, was awarded the CEU Fernando III Award for Health and Life. The recognition was accepted by Alicia Latorre Cañizares and Concha Román del Molino, who highlighted his legacy of dedication and commitment to defending life and supporting the most vulnerable.

"Therefore, his legacy does not end with his life – they assured – Manolo left us a mission, and missions born from Truth do not die with their initiator but continue with those who accept to take up the mantle."

The MAS Foundation received the CEU Fernando III Award for Educational Innovation for its work in improving the quality of life for thousands of families and its commitment to training, employment, and personal development, initiatives that have involved over 10,000 people.
