The Fundación Cámara de Sevilla is preparing to host an innovative artistic proposal that challenges the traditional perception of color. The installation, titled 'Azul casi blanco' (Blue Almost White), transforms the exhibition space into an environment where blue gradually fades to the purity of white, inviting each visitor to a personal and unrepeatable visual interaction.
The work, which will open on Thursday, May 7, will be available to the public free of charge until May 29. Its creator describes the piece as an exploration of the limits of color, a point where pigment begins to disappear and behave like light.
“"It speaks of a limit, of that point where color begins to disappear."
This conception of light is not merely an element that illuminates the work, but is integrated as a fundamental part of it. As the color attenuates, the presence of light intensifies, leading the viewer to observe how it manifests and behaves within the space.
The installation is conceived as a dynamic experience that is completed by the gaze of the observer. It does not seek to convey a single message or a fixed image, but rather each person experiences it differently, depending on their position, observation time, and willingness to be affected by it. In this way, the viewer becomes an active and indispensable part of the work.
