The commemorative events will begin on September 30 with an exaltation to Saint Francis by the Franciscan Fray Salva, Salvador Jiménez Durán, at the Convent of the Franciscan Sisters at 8:00 PM.
During October 1, 2, and 3, a triduum in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi will be held at the Church of the Franciscan Mothers, at 8:00 PM. The saint's feast day will be commemorated on October 4 with a mass at 6:30 PM in the Church of the Holy Spirit, followed by a procession through the San Francisco neighborhood.
The program also includes, on the last day of the Royal Fair of the San Francisco neighborhood, the performance of a sacramental play about the stigmata of Saint Francis on October 9 in the Church of the Holy Spirit (8:00 PM). On October 23, a group of Franciscan married couples from Granada will offer a concert at the Convent of the Franciscan Sisters at 8:00 PM.
Finally, on October 30, there will be an open house event centered around a photographic exhibition dedicated to the saint and the neighborhood, and a prayer for peace at the Convent of the Poor Clares at 8:00 PM.
