The Ronda City Council has held the Local Security Board to define the special deployment for the Pedro Romero Fair and Festivals, taking place from September 1st to 6th.

The Plenary Hall of the Ronda City Council hosted the Local Security Board, chaired by Mayor Mari Paz Fernández, to plan the special deployment for the Pedro Romero Fair and Festivals. The objective is to guarantee security during the celebrations, which begin on August 20th with the Pregón and extend until September 6th.
The meeting included representatives from the Ronda Local Police, National Police, Provincial Firefighters Consortium (CPB) of Málaga, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, the Government Sub-delegation in Málaga, the Serranía Health Management Area of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), the Royal Club of Carriages of Andalusia (RCEA), the Association of Peñas de Ronda (ASOPE), and councilors Jorge Fernández (Traffic) and Rebeca Muñoz (Festivals), in addition to the Councilor for Citizen Security, Alicia López, and the mayor.
The Local Police will deploy an average of 49 to 58 officers daily, increasing to 68 on the Goyesca Saturday. They will coordinate with other security forces to ensure the fair's development, which attracts numerous visitors. A traffic plan with necessary road closures has been designed to ensure safety and the smooth running of each event.
Two parking areas with a capacity for 300 vehicles have been designated at the UE-19 plot and the old fairground parking. The mini-train service will be maintained, and the urban bus service will be reinforced with three additional lines accessing the fairground. The Local Police will have a permanent tent at the Ángel Harillo Fairground.
Civil Protection will have between 12 and 15 volunteers from Tuesday to Thursday, and up to 40 during the weekend, distributed in the city center and the fairground. They will also have a specific tent. Firefighter and medical teams will also be present at the venue.
