Officers of the National Police have successfully dismantled a drug dealing point in Ronda, resulting in the arrest of a local resident. The suspect, aged 52, allegedly used his home for selling narcotics, with some transactions occurring near a park and very close to an educational institution.
The investigation, initiated by the Local Operational Group of the Ronda Police Station, began after several drug seizure reports by patrols from the Citizen Attention Group. These interventions occurred when several buyers were caught with doses for self-consumption, prompting discreet surveillance around the investigated individual's home.
The modus operandi for drug buying and selling consistently followed the same pattern: buyers would go to the individual's residence and wait outside to be served inside, where the transaction would be completed. On other occasions, sales took place outdoors, next to a park, disregarding the presence of minors in the area.
After confirming suspicions through various inquiries, officers obtained a judicial warrant to search the home. During the entry and search, which was supported by the Scientific Police, Canine Units, UPR, and GAC patrols, 180 grams of hashish, 56 grams of marijuana, 230 euros in cash, and various tools for drug preparation, including a weighing scale and cutting instruments, were seized.
