Ricardo Sánchez, the delegate of the Andalusian regional government in Seville, warned on Tuesday about the potential impact of the Niebla wildfire on towns in the Seville province. The main concern lies with the wind's direction and strength, which could displace the flames several kilometers.
Sánchez addressed the media at the active participation center in El Castillo de las Guardas, where residents of El Madroño are temporarily housed, to provide an update on the fire's progress. He explained that wind is a crucial factor that can cause the fire to advance significant distances.
Although the delegate did not specify how far the fire might reach if the wind direction changes, he assured that all available resources are being deployed to control the situation and prevent the wildfire from affecting more areas in the region.
