The third edition of the Asfaltrail 'La Pintoresca' in Vícar brought together 354 participants last Saturday, exceeding expectations for both participation and fundraising.

A total of 354 participants, including 313 adults and 41 minors, braved the course of the III Asfaltrail “La Pintoresca” last Saturday. The event, organized by the Vícar City Council along with Tractormman, combined the challenging route between the Sierra de Gádor and the streets of Vícar Pueblo with a strong spirit of solidarity.
The entire proceeds from the event, amounting to €5,080, will be donated to the Unoentrecienmil Foundation to combat childhood leukemia. Of the participants, 211 completed the 14 km Asfaltrail race and 102 took part in the 6-kilometer hiking route.
The mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, highlighted the successful achievement of the solidarity goal, noting the high participation and significant funds raised. The response from enthusiasts was "spectacular," with last-minute registrations and participants coming from other provinces, who praised the "excellent organization" managed by over thirty volunteers.
In the men's 14 km competition, Miguel Morales Franco from Club Aqueatacamos took first place with a time of 54:33, followed by Roberto Garrido Martínez and Juan José Rivas López. In the women's category, Paula Ramírez repeated her previous year's victory, completing the course in 59 minutes and 26 seconds, ahead of Eugenia Suárez Fernández and Estíbaliz Plaza Pérez.
The 14 km race featured an elevation gain of 435 meters, while the 6 km route had 215 meters. Participants in the functional diversity category also received awards, a consistent feature in Vícar's competitions. The children's races saw 41 runners competing on courses adapted to various distances.
