The Social Welfare and Family area of the Vícar City Council has opened the registration period for a new getaway for the municipality's senior and pensioner collective. The chosen destination for this occasion is the Alicante town of Benidorm. Interested individuals can register starting at 10:00 AM next Monday, July 13th, at the Cabañuelas Social Center facilities, office A, or by calling 691344507. The getaway will take place between October 20th and 22nd.
The trip includes bus transportation, travel assistance insurance, full board with an open buffet at the four-star Hotel Diplomatic, located very close to the beach and city center, and visits to Alicante, where they will see Santa Bárbara Castle, the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the Maritime Promenade, and Postiguet Beach. There will also be a visit to the beautiful coastal town of Calpe, known for the famous Peñón de Ifach and the Roman site of Baños de la Reina, with its stone-carved marine pools. Travelers will also go to Guadalest, in the Marina Baja region, famous for its spectacular location on a rocky cliff, its impressive views of the turquoise water reservoir, and its medieval old town.
The total cost per person is 230 euros, with a 50 euro deposit required for registration. Those interested in a single room must pay an additional 80 euros. It should be noted that places are limited, and only two places can be registered per person.
The departure from Vícar will be on Tuesday, October 20th, by bus, with scheduled stops in La Gangosa, Las Cabañuelas, Puebla de Vícar, El Parador, Llanos de Vícar, and Vícar Pueblo.
