The agreement, signed by the mayor-president Juan Antonio Reyes Cuadrado and the club's president José Ramón Sola Segura, includes a municipal contribution of 3,000 euros to support the planned actions.
The main objectives of the agreement are to foster sports practice, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage citizen participation, and contribute to the knowledge, conservation, and enhancement of the natural heritage of Pedro Abad and its surroundings.
The GPS Grupo Perabeño de Senderismo will organize hiking routes, natural environment conservation activities, sports dynamization, and citizen coexistence initiatives during 2026. They will also collaborate on a kayak descent ending in Pedro Abad, promoting the use of the municipal pier and the municipality's tourism and sports promotion.
The City Council emphasizes the importance of collaborating with local associations and clubs to promote activities that directly benefit citizens and project the natural and sports resources of the municipality.
The municipal contribution is compatible with other aid, provided the total cost of the actions is not exceeded. The club must justify the use of funds through an activity report and the economic documentation established in the agreement.
The agreement will be valid throughout the 2026 fiscal year, from January 1st to December 31st, and includes the commitment to acknowledge the collaboration of the City Council of Pedro Abad in disseminating the activities.
This agreement consolidates a joint line of work to promote outdoor sports, foster respect for and knowledge of the environment, and highlight the natural and sports resources of Pedro Abad.
