Designers such as Eli Martín, Virginia Martínez, Manuela Martín, Marisa Pérez, José Contreras, Lola Mendoza, and Damaris Viñolo will present their creations, transforming Vícar into the capital of flamenco folklore and fashion. The runway of the II Vícar Flamenco Fashion Show, taking place on April 11, will be the stage where the elegance and vision of these Almerian artists will shine brightly.
“"The SMFV is a cultural event that focuses on talent and flamenco fashion as part of the invisible soul that shapes our identity. It is an excellent showcase of Almerian talent, of everyone's talent for everyone."
During the event's presentation on March 16, Vícar's mayor, Antonio Bonilla, highlighted the cultural significance of the show, emphasizing its role in promoting local talent and flamenco identity. The Vícar City Council has sought to involve the entire community from the outset, reflecting the spirit of “everyone's talent for everyone.”
In addition to the avant-garde designs, the event will feature music and dance performances by the schools of Maribel Carreño, María Carricondo, and Cristina Muelas. These presentations will add an artistic touch to the show, solidifying it as one of the most relevant cultural events of spring in Vícar.
The first edition of the Vícar Flamenco Fashion Show, held in 2025, exceeded expectations, prompting this new installment for 2026. The organization has announced that this edition will not leave anyone indifferent, aiming to give visibility to local talent and celebrate one of the region's greatest cultural hallmarks. The event will take place in the Plaza Anfiteatro, an open and ceremonial space designed to welcome all attendees.
