The upcoming head of the local government has a career linked to local management since 2011, when she began her work as a councilor. During her time in the municipal administration, she has held responsibilities in strategic areas such as Social Services, Culture, Education, and Personnel.
Since 2022, the future mayor has combined her local activity with her work as a member of the regional Parliament. Her profile combines this political experience with a previous eleven-year career as a court attorney in the judicial district of El Ejido.
The succession process follows the departure of the previous mayor, who left the position to join the Andalusian Regional Government as a delegate in the province of Almería. The new mayor will take office during the plenary session to be convened shortly, leading the municipal government until the end of the term in the elections scheduled for May.
