The Mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, accompanied by the Councilor for Youth, Education, and Childhood, Gracia Montoro, visited the municipality's primary education centers to wish students a happy start to the academic year. Bonilla emphasized the importance of these new stages in the students' lives, describing the beginning as "a spectrum of opportunities and new experiences."
The day proceeded smoothly and safely, thanks to a deployment by the Local Police that ensured orderly access to the educational centers. The Mayor stressed that "the culture of safety is always our priority," looking out for the well-being of families.
The nine Early Childhood and Primary Education Centers in Vícar opened their doors after weeks of preparation. The City Council's Urban Services department carried out cleaning, gardening, painting, and repairs to carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure the optimal condition of the facilities.
As part of its commitment to quality education, the City Council distributed the Vícar School Agenda to all Primary and Compulsory Secondary Education students. The Mayor noted that this initiative "favors students' planning and organization in their daily lives."
This year's agenda design commemorates the 20th Anniversary of the Bulevar Ciudad de Vícar and is the work of local artist Sara Moncada, whose illustrations reflect the town's history and its monuments.
Following the start in primary schools, Secondary Education students will return to their classes next Tuesday, September 15, while the nursery schools began last week.
