Organized by IES Santo Domingo, IES Murgi, and IES Francisco Montoya from Las Norias, with the support of the El Ejido City Council, the fair transformed the town center into a dynamic meeting point. The primary goal was to stimulate innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit among young people.
The mayor, Francisco Góngora, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Youth, and Participation, Javier Rodríguez, visited the stands set up in the Plaza Mayor. There, students presented their classroom-developed projects, many within the framework of the Educational Entrepreneurship Program. This edition saw the participation of twelve educational centers from towns such as El Ejido, La Mojonera, Vícar, Roquetas de Mar, Baza, Vélez-Rubio, and Olula del Río.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the educational and entrepreneurial fields, including Pedro Lozano, director of IES Francisco Montoya; Ivana Cantero Puertas, Economics professor and Entrepreneurship program coordinator; Andrés Maldonado, secretary of IES Santo Domingo; Noelia Lázaro Vargas, head of the Economics-FOL department and program coordinator; Iván Torralba Valdivia, head of the Economics department and program coordinator; and Francisco Verde Fernández, vice-director of IES Murgi. Also present were María Yolanda Jiménez Capel, an expert in educational entrepreneurship at the provincial level in Almería, and Elena Rodríguez García, head of educational entrepreneurship at the Territorial Delegation of Almería.
The purpose of this initiative is to foster an entrepreneurial culture, practical learning, and social commitment, in addition to strengthening ties between different educational centers and bringing the talent and innovative capacity of young people closer to the public.
In parallel, Espacio MurgiJoven hosted a program of talks, workshops, and practical experiences. Professionals, entrepreneurs, and various entities enriched the day with their proposals. Among them, CADE organized an Escape Room, NEXO FP delivered a workshop on soft skills and résumés, and ASEMPAL offered a motivational talk. The Cajamar-Groditech Association discussed artificial intelligence in agriculture, while MAMÍFERAS and INNOVA-IJA shared experiences on transforming ideas into business projects. The El Ejido Merchants Association presented testimonials from entrepreneurs, and TECNOVA focused on agro-innovative projects. Lola Gómez, representing ALMUR and Clisol Agro, highlighted female leadership in rural and tourism sectors, and the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) offered an immersive virtual reality experience to enhance skills.
The fair also included a charitable aspect, with actions promoted by the educational centers themselves through the creation and sale of products, with proceeds destined for various social associations.
