The Provincial Traffic Headquarters has detailed the start of maintenance work on the A-7 highway that will involve traffic restrictions at various points in the province of Almería. These operations, scheduled to begin next Monday, May 25th, will include lane closures and temporary diversions using the tránsfer system, channeling traffic into the opposite lane.
In the Levante Zone, specifically in the municipalities of Vera and Antas, the most significant complications are anticipated. Between kilometer markers 696+500 and 692+500, lanes in the decreasing direction (towards Murcia) will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to the opposite carriageway from 06:00 on Monday, May 25th, until 13:00 on Friday, May 29th.
In the Poniente almeriense region, works are concentrated in La Mojonera and El Ejido. In La Mojonera (kilometers 810+100 to 808+800), the left lane in the decreasing direction (towards Almería) will be closed from 08:00 on Monday, May 25th, until 13:00 on Friday, May 29th.
El Ejido will experience several disruptions. In a first section (kilometers 821+300 to 822+400), the right lane in the increasing direction (towards Málaga) will be closed in two phases: the first from May 25th to 29th, and the second from June 1st to 5th, both from 08:00 to 13:00. A second section in El Ejido (kilometers 825+500 to 824+600) will have a total closure of lanes in the decreasing direction, with a diversion in place, from 08:00 on Monday, May 25th, until 18:00 on Wednesday, May 27th.
Authorities recommend that drivers planning to travel through these affected areas plan their journeys in advance and exercise extreme caution. To check real-time traffic conditions or potential changes, the General Directorate of Traffic keeps its incident map updated on its official website.
