The French gym chain On Air is undertaking renovations to adapt the space of the Garaje Málaga, situated at Calle Lorenzo, 12, in the Soho neighborhood. After more than a decade with its metal shutter down, the parking facility will be replaced by high-quality weightlifting equipment, including brands like Hammer Strength.
The main innovation of this facility will be the inclusion of a zone exclusively dedicated to women's training, as well as a mat for practicing MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Where parking spaces once were, a strength and free weight area is now being constructed, along with a boxing ring, a guided weight training room, and a cardio space.
The future gym will also offer a hybrid training zone for exercises such as TRX, thick rope training, and kettlebells. The exercise machines will be from renowned brands like TechnoGym, Eleiko, Gym80, and LifeFitness.
On Air already has another facility in the center of Malaga, at calle Armengual de la Mota, 39. The new Soho location will offer a wider variety of activities. The chain, which owns the largest fitness club in France with 5000 square meters, has construction sites in Seville and Granada.
The gym is in its pre-opening phase, allowing registrations with a reduced fee of 7.99 euros per week with no annual commitment for the first 250 registered members. The standard fee will be 9.99 euros, with an 'ultra' option at 10.99 euros that allows card sharing with a household member.
On Air's business model also includes the possibility of live DJ sets during evening sessions, an initiative already implemented in other locations, and its introduction in Malaga is pending confirmation.
