The Colmao stall has been temporarily closed for 24 hours by the Malaga City Council after detecting serious violations of the Fair Ordinance. Infractions include charging the public for entry, requiring invitations or purchases to enter, and improper placement of tables and chairs.
Furthermore, irregularities in operating hours and disturbances of public order were noted, leading to multiple police interventions. The Local Police have initiated the corresponding sanctioning process for these actions, classified as serious and very serious offenses.
“"If a new non-compliance occurs, the stall may be ordered to close for the remainder of the Fair."
Municipal regulations allow for precautionary closure measures in cases of non-compliance that affect safety or the normal progression of the Fair. The Council has warned the managers of the Colmao stall that further violations could result in its permanent closure for the rest of the festivities.
Additionally, the Koloa stall, located at number 135, was also closed on Wednesday. This measure was due to violations of the Ordinance concerning zone demarcation and the placement of tables and chairs in family-oriented stalls. This closure is a result of recidivism, following a prior warning that was not heeded within the established timeframe.
The Local Police will continue surveillance and inspection efforts to ensure compliance with regulations throughout the remaining days of the Fair.
