Weather instability has modified the schedules of nearly thirty flights planned between six and nine in the morning this Saturday at Malaga Airport. One of the affected flights, bound for Lisbon, has been canceled.
The delays have impacted routes to destinations such as Paris, Genoa, Bremen, Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, Budapest, Bern, Berlin, or Melilla, among other cities.
The storm broke out unexpectedly around four in the morning, accompanied by a heavy downpour that hit the Costa del Sol and Malaga city with intensity for about 15 minutes. It continued with less force for another hour.
The electrical activity, with over 150 lightning strikes recorded during the hour the phenomenon lasted, woke many residents. The storm moved towards the interior of the province around five in the morning, reaching Granada.
