The young Danish center, who announced his testicular cancer diagnosis a few months ago, has confirmed via social media that he is free of the disease. After consulting with doctors, Moller is healthy and ready to resume his sports career.
Marcus Moller expressed his gratitude for the support received during this process: "I want to thank everyone who has supported and helped me throughout this journey. My treatment and procedures have gone well, and I've been able to maintain a positive attitude at all times. Now it's time to move forward and get back to doing what I love. The comeback starts now!"
Unicaja, Moller's development club, detailed that the player has successfully completed the medical treatment and surgical intervention. Recent tests confirm the absence of disease indicators, and the player will continue with periodic medical check-ups.
The Málaga-based club highlighted Moller's strength and determination during his fight against the illness. "His recovery is very positive news for everyone who is part of the Unicaja family," the club stated.
Looking ahead to his sporting future, Marcus Moller will begin a new chapter next season at the University of Michigan, the current NCAA champions. He will fill one of the spots vacated by Aday Mara, who is entering the NBA draft. Unicaja will retain his rights should the player decide to return to the ACB.
Moller, standing at 2.17 meters, joined Unicaja in 2022 and has shown significant progress, even debuting with the senior Denmark national team at 17. This season in the U League, he averaged 12.8 points and 8.5 rebounds.
