Summer seems to have arrived early on the Costa del Sol, where the beginning of June is marked by extreme heat and an suffocating thermal sensation that persists even during the nights. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert that will be in effect from 2:00 PM this Thursday.
The province of Malaga is once again under this meteorological warning, with forecasts predicting maximum temperatures to reach up to 36 degrees in various areas of the territory. Specifically, the Sol y Guadalhorce region will be affected by the yellow alert between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
For today's forecast, skies are expected to remain mostly clear, with intervals of medium and high clouds during the night. On the eastern coast, low clouds and mist are possible in the early morning hours.
Regarding temperatures, maximums are predicted to rise, which could be particularly notable in coastal areas. Minimum temperatures, however, are expected to remain largely unchanged. Winds will blow from the west, light at first, increasing to moderate during the day, with strong gusts on the coast and moderate intervals in the rest of the province.
