The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a forecast predicting a significant alteration in Málaga's climatic conditions. After reaching highs of 24 degrees Celsius in towns like Coín and Vélez-Málaga this Thursday, temperatures are expected to remain above 20 degrees across the province on April 10. However, the change will become more pronounced from Monday next week, particularly in inland areas.
A new episode of rain is anticipated for Saturday, with showers that could be "locally strong and stormy," mainly concentrated in the second half of the day. These precipitations will be accompanied by suspended dust, resulting in muddy rain. The probability of rain will reach 100% in the eastern and western extremes of the province during the afternoon, slightly decreasing to 95% in the central area. The intensity of the rain will diminish towards the late hours of Saturday, and by Sunday, it is expected to clear, although this day will mark the beginning of a more noticeable drop in temperatures.
In addition to the rain, Aemet has activated a yellow advisory for wind and waves along the entire Málaga coast for Sunday. This advisory will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, impacting both the Costa del Sol and the Axarquía regions. Wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour and waves reaching 3 meters in height are expected. Despite the alert, Aemet has classified this advisory as "low danger," and no further advisories have been activated for the rest of the weekend in the province.
