During the eight days of festivities in the Andalusian capital, authorities registered an increase in the presence of new generation narcotic substances, which were the primary reason for the 391 citations issued.
The police statement detailed that, in addition to drug-related citations, another 38 were issued for possession of weapons. In total, 83 individuals were arrested for various offenses, including violent robbery, crimes against public health, assault, resistance and disobedience to authority, attacks on law enforcement officers, crimes against sexual freedom, illicit weapon possession, domestic violence and gender violence, as well as fourteen individuals wanted by the justice system.
National Police officers also intervened in 126 brawls and carried out 136 humanitarian aid operations. 144 resold tickets were confiscated near the La Malagueta bullring.
Over 2,000 officers deployed during the fair conducted nearly 6,700 identifications and checked 110 vehicles. Eighty-six interventions were carried out in the private security sector, including inspections of stalls.
