The town of Coín, located in the Guadalhorce Valley, will be in festive spirits this Saturday to celebrate the Orange Festival, an event now in its twenty-eighth edition. This occasion, declared a Provincial Tourist Singularity Festival, aims to attract residents and visitors to commemorate the end of the orange harvest, which began last October.
Attendees will enjoy a day full of activities, with oranges as the undisputed stars. More than 3,000 kilograms of oranges will be distributed in the form of freshly squeezed juice, offered free of charge. Additionally, visitors can taste the famous 'sopa hervía' for free, a traditional dish from the local cuisine that makes use of available ingredients.
The event will also feature a diverse array of craft, charcuterie, and local gastronomy stalls, allowing visitors to discover and promote regional products. To liven up the day, there will be live music performances and the presentation of the 'Honorary Orange Award', which recognizes individuals, groups, associations, or companies for their work in promoting the image of Coín.
