The intense heat wave will affect the Malaga province progressively. On Tuesday, the alert level is focused on the Antequera region, where temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
The weather situation will intensify on Wednesday, when Ronda joins the yellow alert. In both areas, maximum temperatures could reach 39 degrees, with local peaks of 40 degrees in municipalities such as Villanueva de Algaidas, Alameda, Fuente de Piedra, and Campillos.
Meteorological authorities have warned that this heat episode increases the risk of forest fires to very high or extreme levels across much of the province, particularly in the Guadalhorce Valley and the Antequera region.
