The activity takes place under the umbrella of the NATO mission in the country, with the support of the 4th Alejandro Farnesio Tercio of the Legion, commanded by Colonel Fernando Sánchez. This exchange was made possible by their collaboration, as reported by the Vice President and Deputy of Security and Emergencies, Manuel Marmolejo.
During the expedition, both corps are sharing their procedures and conducting joint practical exercises in risk scenarios such as forest fires and floods, contrasting the experience accumulated in Málaga with that of the Slovak teams to improve response.
Additionally, the firefighters from Málaga have participated in urban fire and traffic accident exercises alongside the Reconnaissance Section of the Xth Flag of the Legion and Slovak firefighters, expanding the joint work to common interventions.
“"The exchange strengthens international cooperation between emergency services and demonstrates that interoperability is also built on the ground, working together before the emergency arrives."
