The mayor of Pozoblanco, Santiago Cabello, has presented the project for the conditioning and improvement of the municipal pool complex. This large-scale action aims to transform the space into a modern, attractive facility adapted to the needs of families and users.
The intervention includes the construction of new pool basins, improvement of green areas, a new machine room, and the installation of aquatic equipment and children's attractions. The project has a material execution budget of 1,083,305.75 euros, with an estimated execution period of five months.
Santiago Cabello highlighted it as "one of the most exciting projects in recent years for Pozoblanco," which will completely change the municipal pool. He emphasized that the government team sought to "transform it into a modern, family-friendly, accessible space designed for enjoyment."
The project, drafted by architect Andrés García Rojas, will focus on creating a new children's and recreational area. A children's pool of 276.20 m², a 'waterpark' zone of 231.38 m², a picnic area of 455.60 m², and landscaping improvements with 2,753.52 m² of replanted grass are planned.
Among the attractions will be water games, 'splashpark' elements, water cannons, slides, and a large themed water park. The goal is to make the pool a more complete and fun space for families.
The mayor noted that the action represents "a huge leap in the quality of sports and leisure facilities" and will allow for better services and a more comfortable environment for children, youth, and families, with the pool being the most used sports facility in Pozoblanco.
Cabello concluded by thanking the work of the government team, the architect, and the technical staff of the City Council, emphasizing that it is "a very important investment, but also a highly anticipated one" for Pozoblanco to have a renovated and modern pool for many years to come.
