This training program, developed in the heart of the Cordoban dehesa, combines online theoretical learning with real-world field practice alongside master dry stone builders. With 180 hours of hybrid training, it seeks to connect heritage, green jobs, and climate resilience.
The initiative is open to anyone interested, prioritizing individuals who are unemployed, residents of Los Pedroches, or willing to travel to the region for the in-person sessions. No prior qualifications are required, and 40% of places are reserved for women.
Participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by Fundación Xul, training in dry stone and bioconstruction aligned with RD 1126/2025, and access to the Los Pedroches Green Employment Network. The program is structured into two modules: 'Organization of dry stone work' (October-December 2026) and 'Maintenance of dry stone constructions' (January-June 2027).
This activity is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Spain, through the Grants for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (PCI-2025), and by the European project NOPLANETB, carried out in Spain by the Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI) and co-financed by the Provincial Council of Seville and the European Union.
