The Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the TSJA has accepted the intervention of the State Attorney's Office, representing the Directorate General of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, under the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
This request is based on the understanding that the resolution on the validity of the municipal urban planning license is directly related to the compulsory expropriation procedure that the central Executive is pursuing to acquire ownership of the land where the property stands.
The State Attorney's Office also recalled that another parallel appeal, filed by the hotel's developer, Azata del Sol S.L., within the framework of the expropriation file, is pending resolution before the same court.
The Carboneras City Council has called an extraordinary plenary session for this Wednesday, June 17, where the formal declaration of nullity of the license granted to Azata del Sol in 2003 will be put to a vote. This step will complete the official review ordered by final judicial rulings.
