The body was located in a spot difficult to access by land, necessitating the deployment of a Guardia Civil helicopter based in Granada. The initial alert was received around 12:00 PM, reporting a body lying on the sand.
Emergency teams activated, including the Guardia Civil, Mojácar Local Police, and health services, found it impossible to reach the site on foot due to the complex terrain. The Guardia Civil aircraft eventually extracted the victim from the cove around 5:40 PM.
