This activity is part of the Alternative Leisure 2026 program, a recreational and sports initiative that seeks to offer the municipality's youth entertainment options combining physical exercise with learning and coexistence in a natural environment. The proposal follows other successful experiences, such as a recent excursion to Sierra Nevada.
The expedition to Aventura Amazonia Marbella, considered the most prominent adventure park in Andalusia, promises to be a “dynamic and lighthearted” day. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a natural environment rich in fauna and flora, enjoying up to a hundred tree games and more than twenty zip lines, distributed across six adventure circuits.
“"From the department, we work in synergy with other administrations to offer a program of initiatives and events for our youngest citizens to enjoy. These types of experiences, which combine training, leisure, and healthy avenues, are being promoted to provide our youth with healthy and fun environments."
Those interested in participating must be between 1996 and 2012, be registered in Vélez-Málaga, and be at least 1.15 meters tall. The registration period is from May 4 to 8, until 2:00 PM or until the 45 available spots are filled. Applications can be made via email or through the municipal youth website.
The bus will depart on Saturday, May 16, from the Casa de Asociaciones at 8:45 AM, with the return to the Vélez-Málaga municipality scheduled for 4:15 PM. Registered participants are advised to bring water, breakfast, lunch, comfortable clothing, a change of clothes, and sports shoes, as well as gym or cycling gloves.
This youth activity program is carried out in collaboration with the Málaga Provincial Council and the Junta de Andalucía, through the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), and includes various disciplines such as cultural visits, hiking, canoeing, and diving.
