During the competition held at the Helmántico stadium, a young athlete set a new Andalusian U20 record in the 200-meter sprint, clocking in at 23.79 seconds. This performance improves her previous record and confirms her excellent current form.
The Malaga representation also stood out for achieving national qualifying standards. An athlete from Trops Cueva de Nerja secured the required time in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:04.54. In the same discipline, another athlete from the Nerja-based club achieved the national qualifying time with a mark of 53.52 seconds during a technical control held in Malaga.
The event also yielded strong results for other provincial athletes. In speed and middle-distance events, personal bests of 56.74 seconds in the 400 meters and 2:17.69 in the 800 meters were recorded, reinforcing the high competitive level of local athletes on the national stage.
