The event, taking place in Plaza de España, will feature active participation from residents preparing traditional recipes from 25 different countries. This initiative highlights the demographic uniqueness of the municipality, home to people of 53 different nationalities.
The culinary offerings will include dishes from countries such as Greece, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, and Australia. Local and Spanish cuisine will be represented by the La Asunción Women's Association.
To streamline transactions, the organization has introduced a local currency called Cómpeta cash, available in vouchers at the venue. All tapas will cost two euros, with proceeds benefiting Cáritas and the Todo Ayuda Project.
The festivities begin at 12:00 PM with a charity raffle, accompanied by live music throughout the day. Local authorities have emphasized the event's role in strengthening the integration of the international community within the region.
