The initiative follows an agreement reached between the Junta de Andalucía and the transport association Unibus. This deal aims to resolve the situation that left over 1,600 students across 32 municipalities without transport during the first week of school, after 56 routes remained vacant following the contract bidding process.
Regional authorities stated that the consensus was reached in record time, highlighting their commitment to resolving issues inherent in public service management. They also expressed gratitude for the patience shown by the affected families during the resolution of these logistical challenges.
Efforts are currently underway to restore the remaining routes before the end of the week, ensuring that all affected students in the province can exercise their right to education.
