The town, situated at the foot of the Tejeda and Almijara mountains, will host various events over four days, combining live music with traditional activities. The program aims to encourage gatherings between residents and visitors traveling to this part of the Málaga province.
Highlights include live music performances, featuring concerts, orchestras, and brass bands. Additionally, the festive calendar includes popular events such as a public paella and the selection of festival representatives.
Local tradition remains a key element with ribbon races, held both on horseback and by motorcycle. This skill, deeply rooted in the towns of the Axarquía interior, involves threading rings with a stylus while moving. The folkloric component is complemented by performances from rociero groups.
The festivities will conclude on Sunday, July 12, with a fireworks display marking the end of the four-day celebration in the municipality.
