The political group brought the situation to light after several incidents, the most notable being the train that departed from Atocha station on April 11 at 7:31 PM bound for Jaén. This convoy arrived at its destination at 12:12 AM, accumulating a 48-minute delay from the scheduled time.
During the journey, passengers were informed by Renfe that an infrastructure incident had led to a speed restriction. This resulted in the train, which covers a distance of 292 kilometers, traveling at an average speed of 65 km/h.
Municipal spokesperson, Agustín González, described these delays as "scandalous" and also mentioned another incident the previous day, April 10, when the train departing from Jaén at 8:32 AM arrived in Madrid 23 minutes late.
“"The fact that they cut off the link with Córdoba for almost two years reveals the little consideration that the people of Jaén receive from Pedro Sánchez."
González also referred to the railway link with Córdoba being cut off, which is currently interrupted due to a wall collapse and other works managed by Adif, further exacerbating the connectivity issues for the province.
